Kevin joined the Parish Council in April 1987 and, having served as Vice-Chair from 1995-1998 and Chair from 1998-2006, is its longing serving member. Specialising today in strategic planning matters, Kevin’s previous experience as an Assistant Director responsible for Cultural Services in local government (including Archives, Archaeology, Heritage and Environment, Countryside Management and Rights of Way) has equipped him with detailed knowledge of the functioning and responsibilities of local and national government and its relationship with private and third sector agencies which is frequently useful in the Parish Council’s work. As a nationally accredited expert witness working on land legal issues involving archive historical evidence, he often advises the Council on issues involving land ownership, rights of way, common land etc. Kevin has also been a Trustee for the Church and Poors Land Charity in the village since 1995.
